Trying to discern the meaning of “almost one owner”

Inheritance of a car they stored until there was time to sell it would be a good example.

Either “Owned it since it was 2” or “Bought it off of the original sucker to flip it”

One is almost two.

Bought it from original owner but never registered/drove it?

That means it has five times less owners.

“Bought it off of the original sucker to flip it”
I’m betting on this one, hoping it was the other one.

The would be owner died while signing the papers?

Two is 100% more than one.
That’s twice as many!

Family car passed around without official title transfers?
![]() 11/12/2018 at 17:53 |

Yeah, but one i s only like one away from tw o.
SO CLOSE!

There are people that do this and then say they don't count as an owner because they never titled it. Which is complete bullshit imo

I mean, here in MA at least if I don’t register a car won’t be counted as an owner on a VIN history check.

But you owned it still. Otherwise you couldn't sell it.

Well, since you can divide the numerical distance between one and two an infinite number of times, technically the distance between one and two is infinity.
